    Otto,

I used the FB debugger tool to clear my FB cache, as per your instructions above.

Initial invocations of the FB debugger tool produced some weird error messages, which I wanted to print screen and forward to you, but couldn’t replicate.

The debugger tool subsequently ran without error but did not immediately update the link image–specified in the WP Settings SFC Default Image option–that accompanies WP blog entries pushed to FB using SFC.

So I waited a few hours, pushed out another blog entry and voila! All my image problems evaporated overnight!

Thanks much, Otto! It’s great to have competent technical support at an affordable price. Ha. Ha.

Would like to take you out for a drink, but my guess is we’re worlds apart.

The debugger reads your page live, so if it was still getting incorrect information, then likely you are using some form of caching plugin, like WP Super Cache or W3 Total Cache.

Whenever you make changes to things like that, you need to clear the cache for the change to actually happen. Publishing a new post would have caused the cache to clear, and there you go.

After years of successfully sharing my WP posts to my FB fan page, I got the following message when I attempted to share my latest post to FB:

    API Error Code: 110
API Error Description: Invalid user id
Error Message: Missing user cookie (to validate session user)

I do not get this error when I share the post to my FB profile.

    What is the problem?

Honestly, I’m surprised it still works at all.

I recommend no longer using the SFC plugin. Deactivate and uninstall it.

The sharing functionality that was in SFC is better done using the Publicize functions in Jetpack. It can do everything SFC could in that respect, and it’s much easier to use.
