• For some reason I can no longer create new posts on my blog eventhough I am the admin and only user. When I create a new post, it no longer shows the Publish button, it shows Submit for Review. If I click Save Draft or Submit for Review, it gives me an error that says I am not allowed to edit post. This is not good. Any ideas?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

No plugin or theme issues. The other thing that might have caused a problem is I maxed out the size of my SQL database, had to clear one of the tables (wp_flickr), but the problem was there before I cleared the table. Why should it mess with my admin rights? I also can’t add new users.

It might. Did you backup the database before amending it?

No. I may need to export then reinstall.
