Can't post more than about hundred words

    Suddenly this morning I can’t post more than about 100 words. If I do I get nothing. Everything is wiped out except the title, category list and tags list.

    Why is this happening? A couple weeks ago I could write and post much longer articles.

  • Step 1 is to disable all of your plugins and try again.

    Step 2 is to test with another browser. If you’re using Internet Explorer, switch to Chrome and try with that.

    If the problem persists, it’s possible that your web host updated their PHP settings limiting the size of POST requests. Step 3 would be to have your web host check it out.

    Thank you for the suggestions.

    I performed Step 1 and found that the long post was then displayed. So, one of my plugins is causing the problem. I’ve now disable and reenabled four of the plugins but have not found the culprit yet. I’ll continue with this.

    I found the offending plugin. It’s “jetpack by WordPress.com”. When this is deactivated I can display long posts of well over 100 words which would not display when “jetpack by WordPress.com” was activated.

    Now when I again activate this plugin I get an error message that I cannot connect to wordpress.com. But I have not lost the ability to display long posts.

    So, there’s still something wrong. But in any case, on www.ads-software.com and I can display long posts.

    I would leave Jetpack disabled, it seems to cause more problems than it fixes.
