• I could really use some help. I upgraded WordPress one week ago and since then I can’t post. I really am lost as to the language and how to’s posted. I’ve tried a few things to no avail, but I really don’t know what I’m doing. GoDaddy said sometimes it works itself out as bugs are fixed, but this was a crucial time for me to be posting for my business. The post page looks totally different. I can type in the title box, but not the main text box (body of post). I’ve disabled all plug ins. Any advice or anyone for hire?

    Yes, I have. Thank you t-p. My problem is that I get hung up with things I don’t know how to do. Switching to the twenty twelve theme. I’m afraid I’ll lose something. I did a backup from the dashboard but the file seems so small, it can’t possibly hold all my files from the website. I just really don’t know what I’m doing. I asked the person who designed my website and she seems flummoxed by the whole thing. “Manually upgrading” I really don’t have a clue.

    If you are concerned, make sure you backup everything (including your database) before doing any actions, just in case.

    Thank you, but I don’t think you understand. I’ve read through that link and it’s all foreign language to me. I’m really afraid to mess up the whole website in my tinkering. Can anyone direct me to someone who I can hire to help me?

    kawnee , Sorry, but these forums are volunteer and not for soliciting or finding jobs.

    Switching to the twentytwelve theme for a few minutes won’t delete any content; it will only test to see if your theme has code errors and is the problem. You’ve already upgraded, so you don’t need a manual upgrade at this point. The problem may be the theme or an old plugin.

    If you can’t do the work yourself, consider looking for a reputable person to fix it correctly on jobs.wordpress.net or freelancing sites such as Elance. (It’s not a good idea to respond to unsolicited emails from forum users offering to work for you.)

    When I click the “preview” for the twentytwelve theme, I see nothing. Do I need to “save and activate” or is something wrong since I can’t see the preview?

    Just click activate, not preview.

    i have the same problems, when i upgrading to wp 3.5
    the navigator working not smooth,
    no user can not post new post because text area can not put text into.

    so, now i return 3.4.2

    Hi everyone,

    Since version 3.5 has been automatically updated on my WP I cannot post because the VISUAL tab doesn’t work.
    I have disabled all the plugins already but still doesn’t work.
    I have also attempted to reinstall the core wordpress files and this is still not working.
    On the other hand I AM NOT A COMPUTER PERSON so I beg you PLEASE help me with a step by step explanaition of what exactly I have to do, I have no-one to help me around; and I seriously don’t understand all this.
    There are no tutorials about it on youtube neither a clear simple explanation here.
