Can’t post with an image

Hi For some reason I am unable to edit previous posts and blog new posts with images. If I try when I hit the save button the page resorts to my site home page not bog and without changes.
I am able to edit directly within the database using mysql but otherwise I’m at a loss. I run two blogs on the same site and both are affected.
Any ideas?
