• I just migrated a WordPress installation to a new server.

Since the migration, users are unable to preview drafts or preview changes. When they do, they get an error message:

“sorry you are not allowed to preview drafts”

Additionally, when they are viewing a page or post in WordPress as a logged in user, the WP admin bar that normally shows at the top of the page isn’t displayed. It’s as if the page is being displayed to them as a logged out user even though if they go to the dashboard or any other area with Admin they can function normally.

I confirmed that the site and URL match.

I updated the htaccess to use just the default.

    Still not working correctly.

  • Hello there!

First measure that I recommend you to do carry out is desactivate ALL your current active plugins, and switch to a default WordPress theme like Twentyseventeen.

After that, go back to your posts and try to preview your draft content, is the problem is solved, then definitely it is an external component that you have installed.

Reactivate them one by one to find what one is causing that.

Please let me know if this solves your problem.
