• I just upgraded to 3.0 and I am having a problem previewing and saving drafts. I tried disabling all plugins but it still isn’t working. Ideas?

  • Have you tried:

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress?

I have tried the first two. I’ll try the third tonight when traffic is slow.

I am also unable to save draft posts or see a preview of posts that I am writing.

I tried deactivating ALL of my plugins and switching to the default theme, but that did not work.

I also tried resetting my plugins folder by renaming it to “plugins-old”, visiting the plugins page of my dashboard to force wordpress to deactivate all of the plugins, and then renaming the folder back to “plugins” …

I’ve also tried re-uploading a fresh download of the wp-admin and wp-includes folders.

Is there anything else I can try to fix this problem?

I just tried increasing the memory limit to 64M (by adding a line of code to my wp-config.php file), but that did not solve the problem either.

Try upping it further to 128M minimum. If you’re still having problems, check with your hosts to see if you are actually able to increase memory using any of the methods in that post. Not all host will allow it.

It’s also possible that you may need to repair the database.

Access your WordPress database via phpMyAdmin (most hosting providers offer this in their control panel), check all of the tables, and choose “Repair tables” from the pull-down menu.
