BuddyBoss has its own media mechanism that allows you to upload photos, videos etc… to the activity feed. They get stored in /wp-content/uploads/bb_media/2022/xx/

LS Cache’s Image Optimizer recognizes these images and you can send them for optimization, but they don’t return anything. I’m not sure what the problem might be… I’ve tried it with BuddyBoss’ media symlinks setting turned both on and off.

Any idea on what the problem might be? Image optimization is a crucial feature for a social network like this and if LS Cache/Quic can’t to it, users will be forced to go to other plugins (or even entirely different CDNs).

I’m happy to help debug it if you give me some guidance.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the response! Unfortunately I deleted the site that I had configured this on, so I will submit a report when I have time to set up a new site. Hopefully we can sort it out soon!

I managed to get it set up. Here’s the report number:

I hope that its just a misconfiguration rather than something deeper, but I failed the other day on a couple different sites on different servers…

I just submitted another after disabling all extra plugins, to no effect. Here is the report number: MCAUEJEN

please do me a screenshot on image optimization status page

and also please try pull with debug log enabled , the log should tell something.

    Thread Starter Nick

    (@nickchomey)

That’s the problem. The pull button never becomes active. LS Cache never receives any notification from Quic.cloud that there is a file ready to be pulled.

if the pull button never light up , that means our server failed to connect to your site

    try disable object cache first

and then click “clean up unfinished data” and then send again , and mark the date/time in GMT , I will check from image server log

    Thread Starter Nick

    (@nickchomey)

No, it does connect because I can see on Quic.cloud that the usage counter has incremented.

Cleanup unfinished data doesn’t help. I already did that prior to my reports.

I’ll try disabling everything other than LS cache and see what happens, but don’t expect it to work.

it counts when you push it into QC, but you can push in , does NOT mean you can also pull back

I know clean unfinished may not work , but I still need to find the log to see what exactly happened , so please do that again and notify me what is the GMT time you did that

    Thread Starter Nick

    (@nickchomey)

Thanks. I am debugging now. I cleared everything and it successfully pulled an image from the Media Library. Unfortunately my limit is currently 4 images and there’s a 5 minute gap between submissions, so I have to keep waiting.

I will submit a report when ready and notify you here.

the first few times are limited to 1, 4 , 9 …etc , until the limit is raised to 200 images per batch

    Thread Starter Nick

    (@nickchomey)

Ugh. Super annoying. If you click “Destroy all optimization data” it resets your upload limit to 1. That should DEFINITELY not happen – the limit should be stored in the user account on Quic.cloud.

This is going to cost me hours of time…

when destory all optm data, it resets to default status which is like image optm was never taken place before

it should take you 20-ish minutes to perform 4 tests
