    Look at the Order line item for the gift card in the admin area. You should see the To / From / Message fields.

    If the To / From / Message fields do not appear, go to the front end of the site and add a gift card to the Cart. You should see the To / From / Message fields on the Cart page and when you check out they should transfer to the Order.

    Then make sure that the Order status is “Complete” for the order where a gift card is purchased. If you see the gift card number, it should have the recipient email address in parenthesis to indicate the email was attempted to be sent. For example:

    WWWW-XXXX-YYYY-ZZZZ ([email protected])

    If you see this on the Order in the admin area, check the Email Log to confirm the email was sent from your server. If the Email Log shows the outgoing email, then it is being blocked by the recipient’s email server. You will need to contact your website host to find a more reliable SMTP server or you can set one up yourself and use WP SMTP to configure it.
