Unfortunately, version 5 adds multiple steps to accessing scheduled backups & logs, it seems to ignore that previously scheduled backups exist, the interface is “light on light” making it difficult to tell if you’ve properly selected the correct option(s). I’m sure they put a lot of effort into developing the new release, but I don’t find it to be a great update to what was a reliable, easy to configure, backup plugin.

I’ve rolled back to ver 4 for now.

    Hi @escwebs ,

We’re truly sorry to hear that version 5 has added complexity and impacted your experience with BackWPup.

Our intention was to improve the interface and streamline the backup process. However, we recognize that the update hasn’t met expectations.

We want to reassure you that all your previous backups remain fully operational, and you can still view your existing jobs in read-only mode from the interface.
Our team is actively working on restoring functionality and improving the usability of the plugin by removing the two-job limitation. This will allow you to create and edit as many backup jobs as you wish.

We appreciate your decision to roll back to version 4.1.7 while we work on these improvements. You can continue to rely on this version for stability and functionality until our updates are ready.

We appreciate your patience and honest input—it helps us make BackWPup better. We’ll share updates as improvements are made to make this right.

    The BackWPup Team
