• I have taken over administration of a WordPress site and am trying to remove all plugins which aren’t being used, to make things clearer for maintenance. There is one called ‘All-in-One WP Migration’ which I am having difficulty getting rid of. If I deactivate it from the dashboard, the site doesn’t load, with the familiar ‘too many redirects’ error. The same applies if I simply delete or move the ‘all-in-one-wp-migration’ directory from the plugins directory. What can I do to get rid of it?

The “too many redirects” error is typically caused by a misconfiguration of the website’s redirects, which may be unrelated to the All-in-One WP Migration plugin. However, since the issue is occurring when you try to deactivate or delete the plugin, it’s possible that it is causing conflicts with other plugins or theme functions.

Here are some steps you can take to try to remove the plugin:

    1. Try deactivating all other plugins except for the All-in-One WP Migration plugin, and then attempt to delete it again. If it deletes successfully, then one of the other plugins may be causing a conflict.
    2. Check if the All-in-One WP Migration plugin has added any code to your .htaccess file, which could be causing the redirect loop. You can access the .htaccess file through your FTP client or cPanel file manager. If there is code related to the plugin, remove it and try deleting the plugin again.
