Can't Remove Automatic Update Nag Message
-
The new automatic update thing – when turned OFF (the default setting) it sticks a nag message on top of all admin pages. Clicking “No Thanks” works on some sites, but doesn’t work on one particular site…
The problem site is using SSL for admin pages…The only clue is a bunch of 404’s for /admin-ajax.php (Yeah – we know that’s also part of a core issue in the last few versions of WP that no-one seems to want to fix as it seems quite rare)
The only way to get rid of the nag is to activate the automatic update – definitely NOT something I want to do on a client site…
Tried activating the feature – nag goes away, when de-activating the feature, nag comes backBackdating WordFence to the previous version of the plugin for now – will try the next update to see if it’s fixed
