Can't remove comments from pages!

Settings >> Discussion is where you can turn off comments for pages.

Keep in mind, you can override that setting for individual pages. Go to Pages, and click “Quick Edit” under each page and change the individual setting for each page.

it could be a plugin issue too. you can add some code to be sure that you remove comments by content type also.
