• Hi, I recently installed Google Tag Manager on my site and noticed that the formatting on some of my web pages was altered after the install.

To get the formatting of my site back to normal, I deleted the tag, deactivated the plugin, and ultimately even deleted my google tag manager account. But the formatting is still off for some of the pages.

My homepage and “coffee beans” category page appear fine and when I view the page source I don’t see any google tag manager code. However, for the other category pages, I still see the google tag manager code.

I’ve also cleared my cache several times.

Does anyone know how I can get rid of the google tag manager code?

  • Hi Oliver,
I took a look at your site and found that there might be a residue from you Google Tag Manager lingering around, from a plugin/service called “nitropack”
    Does that sound familiar?

Oh yeah, I forgot that nitropack caches my website. I’m going to clear the nitropack cache now and see if that works! I will let you know what happens.

    Thank you so much!

I cleared the Nitropack cache but it didn’t work. I figured it was google tag manager that screwed with my site’s formatting, but I don’t see google tag manager on any of my pages, and now the home page and all the category pages are off.

I even deactivated all of my plugins and the formatting didn’t go back to normal. I’m not sure what’s causing it.

As this seems to be, in fact, related to the plugin nitro pack you might need to ask in the plugin’s support forum
