• Hey guys,

first of all, I’m pretty new to this whole webdesign thing and want to thank you for a good-looking and easy-to-understand SEO plugin.

My problem is that the meta title for any of my pages somehow include the name of a specific image file.

    “Kontakt – cropped-Contra-Logo-200px.png” … and so on.

I tried removing it via setting custom meta titles, but it somehow doesn’t seem to solve the problem. The page I’m currently working on is https://www.contra.store.

Thanks in advance and have a nice day!

    Hi,

I just check your website and see you meta title information is properly generated: https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/image/1440462/f4fbe5127f2f241e2cc166ec254c5add

Do you have this behaviour only on admin side?

    Hey,

does that maybe mean that google is somehow not adapting it?
I adjusted the meta title information about a week ago, and google still does not show it properly.

If I type “site:contra.store” into the google search bar, the problem mentioned above appears.

    Hi,

Yes you’re correct Google can generate it’s own meta title. I think there’s something to deal with the theme, where do you use this images Contra-Logo-200px.png on your website?

    Hey,

First of all thanks for your help so far.
Having the logo (said image) on the left column of every page is a substantial part of the theme (example: https://contra.store/infos/).
I just add it to “theme > customize > Website-information (backend).

I just noticed the “Website title” space was blank.. (although i choose not to show the title on the main page) that could’ve perhaps been the issue.

Nobody on the theme (klean) support forums seems to have issues with the meta title though. Feels kinda stupid to just wait like 3 days and see if that was the issue and its fixed…

    Hi,

Ah ah, no problem, glad it’s fixed.
The description of the problem made me think about an unclosed HTML tag or something like that.

If you have 2 minutes it would have been very kind to drop us a review here ??

    Heya,

it’s not actually fixed yet, I have to wait for google to index the site in order to see results (site:contra.store still displays the title with the messy .png in it).

I’ll report on if it worked or not and will definitely drop a review either way ??

Yes google may take it as title in few days.

    Hey,

having filled out the “Website title” space doesn’t seem to have done anything to fix the problem. I also tried renaming the .png file or choosing another. However, Google always shows the name of the file used as a logo in the “Website information” – menu. I’d be very glad if you could look into this one more time. It just looks so messy in the search results…

    Thanks in advance ??

    Hi,

I don’t see any trace of this logo in your code neither on your title of the pages indexed, check this:

    Hey,

that’s something i should’ve mentioned. I changed the original filename (_____.png) to “test4”. So basically I dont want the “Test4” or whatever I name the file to appear in the meta title. Giving it no name doesn’t work either.

    Hi,

OK so you need to find out what’s wrong with your theme or maybe there’s a way to display the logo with another method.

    Cheers,
