Can’t remove or modify sidebar widgets

  • This theme looks great except I can’t remove the sidebar widgets. I have five widgets on the right-hand side of the page which are: “pages” which I also have a top navigation for, “Meta” this one I like to keep, “blog roll” this one I don’t want, “archives” this is kind of useless also, “categories” this It is at duplicate from the row across the top.
    My site map page doesn’t work it’s just an empty page. there is nothing there except a word site map.
    I have some banner ads running in the sidebar which are no longer there on this theme

  • Go to Appearance->Widgets and set your own widgets. As soon as you set the first widget, default ones will disappear.
