Can’t remove query strings from static resources

    I unchecked the ‘Prevent caching of objects after settings change’
    I checked ‘Remove query strings from static resources ‘ in browser cache page.
    I used multiple 3rd party plugins that do specifically removing of query strings but nothing works. I empty all caches everytime I make a change but still tool.pingdom.com and GTMetrix keep telling me that query strings are not removed.

    Turns out that my hosting provider had a cache of their own. I cleared that and everything worked.
