A site I administer uses the free version of your User Registration plugin. When a user forgets their password, and tries to reset it via the ‘lost your password’ link, they get the error message: “Your account is still awaiting admin approval. Reset Password is not allowed.”

But the account has been approved, and I can log onto the site with the account without any problems (once I manually reset the password).

We have the option to disable the default login and the reset page is /my-account/lost-password/. All the users show as approved in the user table. The problem persists if we allow the default login.

Thank you for the link. I did the test register to the site with my test email. And the email has been approved by the admin and now I am able to reset the password without any error message. Here is the screenshot of my test for reset the password: https://prnt.sc/swyl5f https://prnt.sc/swyl8m

Hi, I’m having exactly the same issue. It seems that admin accounts (specifically admin) are unable to reset their passwords.

I have found that this problem only occurs for users created outside the plugin’s approval process (like an admin user created before the plugin was installed).

Try selecting all of those users and then using the bulk actions to manually approve them (even though they already show in the table of users as approved). Then password resets should work as expected.

I’m having this exact same issue and the above mentioned solution of Force Approval doesn’t work either.
