    Hi
I have been using this plugin for ages now. So today when I want to Restore a Backup it tells me it’s from another Website and that I need the Migrator Add-On. Why?

It was backed up from the same Domain Name and is getting restored to the same Domain Name so they both are the same. Therefore I do not need the migrator Add-on.

The Back Ups are stored on Dropbox and it’s from one account for this website.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Colin

If it’s really the same website, you can just click through the warning; it’s just advisory, that things won’t work without the extra code to adapt the backup from a different website.

What URL is in your browser address bar, and what URL does the warning mention?

    Hi David
I just seen the warning that it says that the backup came from another website and that I would need to buy the Migrator Add-on.

The backup came from the same domain name or website and I wouldn’t really want to see any errors or meassages like that as it put me off.

I copied most of the themes and plugins from the website as a precaution and have now uploaded them back again.

The website is now working again. This defeats the object of doing a backup with a plugin.

    Cheers

    Hi Colin,

To be able to give you any particular help, I need answers to the specific question in my earlier post. The warning isn’t shown randomly, but is shown if the result of looking in the database backup for the URL stored in there, and asking WordPress for the current site’s URL, differ. Were you perhaps on an old version of UD? (At some point earlier this year, UD learned to make a smaller thing of the difference between http and https).

All my plugins are up to date on all my websites on a regular basis including yours. I made a backup 2 days ago as I had a problem.

The URL is the same and is https and not http. This website has been https from the start as it was a brand new website.

The database should therefore have the correct settings applied.

I can tomorrow make a further back up and then restore it to see what it says. I can then get a screenshot. I have backed up and restored before and it never said it was from a different website.
