Can't run import function

For the record, every other thing seems to work.

Are you trying to import by using Tools > Import ?

Yes. The plugin installed fine, but it said the server can’t be written to for that. I can modifiy anything else with the same credentials, so this is a bit baffling.

What host are you using? That sounds like a file permissions issue – see:

Currently it’s set at 755. Lizardhill is my host, and direct admin runs my coding.

Is the export file big? Maybe try breaking it up into smaller files.

Also be sure that you are following this:

It’s only 5 mb.

I double checked to make sure there was no other media interfering with it and there’s none.

Now it’s simply saying it’s unable to upload. Is there another way to do it?

Have you asked the hosting company about this?

Or you could try exporting the file again from WordPress.COM.

The hosting company did in fact tell me what to do and it worked.
