Cant’ save changes in user profile after editing user-edit.php

    Hi,
    I changed the name of a field for the user’s profile and edited user-edit.php for that. After uploading the edited file the profile site doesn’t work proper anymore.

    When I make a change, i.e. I type in my AIM, and click on update profile, it brings me automatically to the homepage and does not actually save my changes! Has anyone an idea what is going on or how I can fix

    [In the address bar it says: mydomain.com/wp-admin/profile.php&saved=true/]

    Just in case that helps somehow. I would really appreciate your help!

    Ok, in case you struggle with the same problem. I just figured ou that not the actual edit of the user-edit.php was the problem but the use of the Add Logo to Admin Plugin.
    For some reason the profile panel does not work proper anymore after activating the plugin!? At least in my case
