Today I recognized, that is not longer possible to save events. By clicking on the save button nothing happened. A friend of mine has the same problem with his website and the plugin nearly at the same time. So it looks like to be a bug.

Please check and fix it fast. Thank you.

    Best,

    Ralf

Hi everyone, apologies for the inconvenience here. We were able to pinpoint that specific browser shows Javascript Errors within the Venue Section, in the admin dashboard not allowing to update the Events. We already created an internal bug ticket for this, and I added your case. Thanks for all the details. I will definitely pass it along to our devs.

I am unable to provide an exact date or time estimate for when this bug will be fixed, but you’ll be notified when there are any updates.

For now, as a workaround, you could do the following:

    1. Use Chrome Browser only for Admin Dashboard
    2. Or, Downgrade to version 6.0.2. Accessing and Installing Older Plugin Versions

    Best,
    Abz

    Hi,
I just updated to the latest version and the problem still exists?! Why are new versions released without solving such a serious problem? I know the plugin is free. And I am very grateful, but this is taking quite a long time now, isn’t it?
    Friendly greetings

    Hi @wp-dummie ,

Thanks for your message, and my sincere apologies for the inconvenience.

We?can’t promise that our development team will be able to get to it right away since there are so many competing priorities, but I will make sure that we have all we need to get it fixed.
    ?
While we don’t have an ETA at the moment, you’ll get notified once there is an update and fix.

    Hi there,

    We’re back with good news,

Our developers have just released the Events Calendar version 6.0.7, which addresses the issue of events which have venues assigned not being able to be updated successfully on some browsers.

Please update your Events Calendar plugin to include that and other improvements over your website.

    Best regards,

    Dear Team,
I am very sorry that I am answering only today. (So we, the users, are quick to ask and slow to thank …)
Anyway: everything is working again as it should. I am VERY grateful to you!
    Happy greetings

    Hi @wp-dummie

Thanks for your response and for confirming that it’s now working on your end.

If you have some time to review, that would be amazing!

    Good morning,
this was just a little embarrassing … I had a zoom with a school on whose website I use the plugin. I wanted to show the teachers how to set appointments themselves.
I showed everything. It worked, although it took a long time to update each time.
Then when the teachers tried it themselves (1 computer, Apple, 1 copied event) updating caused a “critical error”. I could see the event list afterwards, but could not edit or move an appointment to the trash. Nothing.
So quickly I did not even know what to do. We then ended the meeting. After that I “simply” deactivated the plugin and activated it again. Now everything works again.
However, I do not want to enable the users, because they should not have admin rights.

I find the plugin super, besides, I do not know any alternative, but grad is all a bit exhausting …

    Kind regards
    WP-Dummie

    Hi @wp-dummie

Sorry to hear about what happened. Were you able to encounter the issue again after that incident?

If so, could you run a?conflict test? I suggest conducting these tests on a?Staging Server. In addition, please also?enable the debugging?on your staging site. This allows us to know more about what causes the issue by checking the logs.

Moreover, I’d also like to know the PHP version you’re using. You could check it by navigating to Events > Troubleshooting, and search for “PHP version”.

    Looking forward to you reply.
