Can’t save form in editor when a dropdown is added

    I am trying to make a simple form from scratch in the editor and for some reason I am unable to save the form. I reviewed every field one by one and this issue occurs when a drop down element is added to the form, even with the default settings the form can’t be saved throwing this error:

    “Something went wrong while saving your form. Please try again.”

    What could be the cause?

    I hope you are doing well today.

    1. Can you review your select field and double-check all labels and values is there any special sigh like ‘ , remove it and see if that helps?
    2. Please check your browser console and see does any errors appears there.
    3. Would you please run a conflict test? Please deactivate all plugins except Forminator and check if the problem is gone. If so, then enable all plugins one by one and find which one is having a conflict. If there is no positive result, switch to the default WordPress theme like 2019, and see if it works. Before this test, we recommend full site backup or running this test on the staging site.

    Hello Kris,

    Thank you for your support message. To answer these items.

    1. I am going with the defaults and I made sure nothing has any special characters.
    2. The only error which appears in the browser console log is after trying to save sayig “Error: Request failed with status code 403.” followed by a small trace in form-scripts.js. I’m not sure if it’s useful.
    3. The only active plugin for my site is Forminator. I am using theme template ‘Twenty Twenty-Three’ for WordPress 6.1. Is this too new? I tried ‘Twenty Nineteen’ and unfortunately am receiving the same issue in the editor.

    Some things I notice:

    1. When adding a dropdown to the editor. The preview will break, not showing any of the added fields.
    2. When adding a dropdown to the editor it effectively breaks saving and updating the form, even after the dropdown element is removed. This only happens with the dropdown.

    I hope some of this info may help find the cause. Thank you!
