Can’t save Post/Product Category descriptions with Yoast active?

When trying to save a description for my POST or PRODUCT Categories, I hit SAVE and the description disapears and can’t be saved? When I deactivate Yoast SEO plugin I can however save the description information normally.
I am running the latest Yoast SEO version 7.1, WordPress 4.9.4 and Woocommerce 3.3.4.
