    Hello!

I installed the plugin and went through all the setting.
Everything works fine and I love the option to daily send out a newsletter.

I have one problem. I tried many times to design my own subscription form. It does save it, and it gives me a shortcode. But when I saved it the shortcode gives the default form again and the one I designed is gone.

So although I see the shortcode when I designed my form, once saved it is gone and when I insert the shortcode I got the English standard form which is useless for me.

    Can someone help me?

    Kind regards,
    Susana

    Hi,

Is your site multilingual? Also send a screenshot showing how the form appears in the editor and how it appears on the frontend.

Hi, my website is Dutch but it has the GTranslate plugin.

I don′t know exactly how to upload screenshots here?

But the default form shows up as well in the editor as when I place the shortcode anywhere on my website. It does not save any changes.

I make a form, save it and it is gone directly.

I am not savvy, so I also asked my host yesterday because it could be a problem with my website or a plugin.

This is what we tried. I copy the conversation so maybe it saves time troubleshooting?:
    From here it goes:

-Could you let me know how I can reproduce the newsletter issue, in terms of steps?

Yes. If you go to Noptin Newsletter
    Sunsciption forms
    Then choose one to edit
    or make a new one

Then here for example Apply a template, so the template changes. Hit save changes and refresh

-Please allow me 5-10 minutes to check that.

No problem. i appriciate your help since the plugin isnt even from WPMUDEV
This plugin is perfect for me. Very simpel and it sends out newsletters every day automatically

-I can see the issue as well. Let me check what we can do here, I might need 5-10 minutes

Could I disable the Assets Optimization temporarily?

Yes ofcourse. Do what you think is necesarry

-Thank you! Just in case, could you take a temporary backup as well just in case you want to revert changes.

    Okay. Doing it now.

    Please navigate to https://wpmudev.com/hub2/site/2681852/hosting/backups
    Then take a new backup.

    Done

-Thank you. Please allow me 5-10 minutes.

    Okay great!

-I tried disabling the Assets optimization but the issue persisted.
With your permission, can I try disabling plugins to see if there is any specific plugin causing this issue?

    Yes ofcourse. I appreciate it.
I did uninstall the plugin and reinstalll it fyi. That did not work. I did not try disbaling plugins. What I did see is that when I reinstalled the plugin the settings I changed in the first install came back. Not sure if that is important info.-

-I’ll keep that in mind as well. In this case, I’ll try to see if any plugin is causing a conflict, then I’ll see if reinstalling would resolve the issue. Please give me 5 – 10 minutes

-I have tried deactivating every plugin except the Noptin plugin but it didn’t help. I’m afraid I will need a couple more minutes to try another solution. Could I change the theme temporarily?

Yes no problem. I appreciate you are so dediicated to help

-Thanks you! Please give me an additional 5 – 10 minutes. ??

    ??

-I have exhausted every possible changes, there’s one more thing try, could we try upgrading the PHP version to 8.0?
    Could I proceed with this?
Please note, you’ll be able to use New Relic with 8.0 as well now.

Yes ok. It was downgraded because Elementor did not work, but that did not solve the issue, so you can go ahead and update it

-I understand. Thanks. I have updated this to 8.0 however the issue persisted. In this case, we’ve deactivated every plugin, and changed to a custom theme as well as upgraded the PHP version and even disabled the static cache. Also, when I try to deactivate, it doesn’t deactivate either.

So the problem can only be the plugin itself?

When I clear the Object cache, then it works once and doesn’t work again. That’s correct.

That′s a pity. i also did ask it at their support forum. I understand that it might take a while because it is a busy forum over there. And I assumed the problem was not the plugin so I came to you as well.,

Maybe this is helpful so you know what we already tried?

If you let me know how to upload screenshot if still needed, let me know.
    I also use CloudFlare FYI.

For the rest: Your plugin works great: I made a nice template and set up a daily automated newsletter with our last articles. It′s just the form I can not save.

    Kind regards,
    Susana.

I’m sorry to hear that. I’ll recommend Mailpoet plugin, however, this can be quite heavy or using Sendinblue would be a good option as well.

Please be sure to restore the backup by navigating to https://wpmudev.com/hub2/site/2681852/hosting/backups then click the three dots and click restore.

    Kevin 10:04:57 pm

Okay I am doing that now
Is my PHP then downgraded again as well?

    Shalom Taiwo 10:05:47 pm

It’ll also be downgraded when you restore the site.
    If not, it’ll remain 8.0`

    Hi,

Thanks for the detailed info. I see that it temporarily works when you clear the object cache, so this might be a caching issue.

Do you have a staging site?

Kindly send the screenshots to brian at noptin.com.

To anyone else experiencing the same issues, try to check if Under Attack mode is activated in your Cloudflare account.
