Can’t save ‘Title’ or ‘Meta desc.’ with Classic Editor.

  • WP 5.1.1; SEOPress 3.3.14; Oxygen 2.2.1; Classic Editor 1.4.

    On all pages except one, I can set “Meta description” and “Title” with no problem.

    On one page (linked above), I cannot save changes when using the Classic Editor. I set the fields, click “Update”; page appears to save but fields revert to their previous values, so looks like they didn’t get saved. Switching to Block Editor appears to work fine. I cannot find anything different about this one page.

    Switching to Block Editor is a useful workaround, but doesn’t explain the problem!

    Hi,
    can you open your browser console with F12 > Console tab.
    Refresh the page, and see if there is any errors.

    No console errors or warnings in front-end or in the page editor. I’ve tried in both Chromium and Firefox with same results. I duplicated the page, and it happens there too. Really odd…

    In the duplicate page I then deleted all the Oxygen content – and now it works! So it looks like there may be a conflict with something in Oxygen, but only with that page, and only when using the Classic Editor.

    When I have time I’ll see if I can track it down further, and report back.
