Can’t see a Give donation box

    I’ve done everything as directed but the box doesn’t show online, I’m desperate to put something up before Christmas but can’t if it won’t pay, this needs to work before I do that as AdSense won’t be allowed before content goes up. I’ve had loads of issues, it seems so problematic, I thought if I obeyed instructions I’d have had it up at least 2 weeks ago, I had already written the post then.

    Please help – I am full of good ideas to make the world better and this is stopping me doing this.

    Thank you so much for replying.

    I went to Plugins > Add New and selected Give
    and then I filled in the forms.
    Afterwards I unticked the Test element thinking that was stopping it from showing
    that didn’t work either.

    It did show up weirdly when I installed it as my front page showed a menu of
    Success Page | Failed Donation Page | Donation History Page | SAMPLE PAGE | WELCOME TO : UNITED IN US !

    but not the box, so I blanked them out in General settings because that wasn’t a welcoming start to my blog.

    My theme is Zimple lite – if there is a simpler more workable free theme which you think would be better for me please tell me which one to use (I’d like a moderate sized logo to one side – probably a bit bigger than the one showing currently – so it might be best to change theme anyway)

    Can you just tell me what to do and I’ll do it?

    I’ve just tried a 2015 theme thinking it would be simpler and Deactivated Give and put a paypal donation button in and that wouldn’t show either.

    I did the widget thing to get both to show.

    No donation plugins seem to show.

    What is it?

    Where on your site can I see your attempt to add a donation button? How are you trying to add the paypal donation? (I recommend using the text widget.)

    I wish I could show you a screen print but you know more about I’m talking about than I understand.

    First via Adding a Plugin

    Then the Donation menu Add Button and then Settings

    Then I use the widget (not a text one – just pressing buttons) to get it to show on site.
    This is from the Customise option at the top of the live site > Widget > Widget Area
    Though what I do appears to have no effect at all

    I haven’t tried the text widget yet, how is that done?

    Since you’ve started another thread in the Give plugin’s support area, why don’t you continue with them?
