Can’t see any comments in the Comments page

    Hello everyone,

    Maybe the answer is simple but I can’t find it anywere!

    I’ve installed WordPress v2.5 and I’ve imported my old blog (which was 2.3) into the new one.
    Every post/page is working and the comments are visible under the recent comments widgets BUT when I go to my dashbord and I clik on “Comments” menu, I can’t see any comments!

    Even when someone leaves a reply I see that there’s one comment awaiting but when I click on “Awaiting Moderation” it says: “No Comments Awaiting moderation…YET!”

    I think that I’ve messed with my database when I imported the sql files into the new database, but how can I fix it??

    I’ve got the same problem. I use the comments widget for each post but it’s a pain in the ass having to look at “comments awaiting moderation” on the dashboard and not being able to do anything about it.

    I solved the problem!! ??

    The problem was that I had exported the comments from another wordpress installation which was 2.3!

    So when I updated the installation to 2.5 and run an database export again (only the comments sql) everything was just working!

    So Kahoonas, you might have the same thing! Update your WordPress installation and it might work for you also!

    Your solution wasn’t for me, I think we had different problems. The 2.5 update fails to create (at least in my case) an index for the comment_date_gmt column in wp_comments. I found the answer here.
    Basically load up phpMyAdmin, select your wordpress database, click on wp_comments and find the column “comment_date_gmt”. Click on the index button in that column (in phpMyAdmin it looks like a lightening bolt).
