Can’t see comments

    Hi everyone,
    hope y’all doing OK despite the times we’re living. Just updated to version 5.5. Visitors comments seem to be impossible to display, I can manage them being the admin from the dashboard, but otherwise if I try to see them from the normal page, I am allowed to add a comment but cannot see the one by visitors.
    I hope I’ve been clear, not sure.

  • Hi! Looks like you have a child theme of Twenty Ten theme. You need to update Twenty Ten to the latest version. There is a small change regarding the comments.
    Make sure that you have a backup and know how to apply it if it will be necessary before any changes.

    Hi Olga,

    thank you for your answer. Actually I run something called twentytendot1 which I believe is a customized version (child version ?) I come up with somehow when I moved the first steps with WP. I don’t remember anything, especially why I had to wind up with a modified release, chances are I did some mistake or misunderstanding of how the system works. I saved and applied this “..dot1” that may well be identical to the original Twenty Ten.

    So I could dismiss my Twentytendot1 and activate the updated version ow Twenty Ten instead. But if I do so, will I lose some innovative, magnificent features that I have with my customized version ? I have no idea. Do you believe it is better to go for the official, updated version of TwentyTen no matter what ?

    Back-up; I’ll study the matter before taking any action.

    Olga,
    after writing to you, I decided to update Twenty Ten. Everything seems to be running fine. I have no clue, but your suggestion was perfect.
