Can't see external linked images after post is published

    I’ve just started having a problem with badges that are linked to external content no longer showing up on my website. I insert the html code into my post and the image shows up when I preview the post. But when I publish the post the image is no longer there. This issue started recently so I tried deactivating all my recent plugins, but that made no difference in the problem.
    I also noticed starting around the same time that my site stats have started counting my admin views. Even though I’m logged in, it’s like the site does not recognize me as the admin. Not sure if the problems are related.

    On the test page of my website there are supposed to be two badges in the main content area.

    I fixed the problem! The issue was with Photon in Jetpack. As soon as I disabled it, everything started working again.
