I have added a custom field so that the buyers can enter their school’s name. But this information is not shown anywhere. When I go to Woocommerce>Orders>Order, I can’t see who belongs to which school. How can I see this?

    Is it a pro-version feature?

    Thanks

The custom fields will be displayed in the section Custom Fields in order details page.

Could you please verify whether the option Custom Fields is ticked in the Screen Options in order details page.

Also, due to some other plugin conflicts, the section will be hidden on the order details page. Please verify this from your side.

We hope this will help ??

    Thank you!

Hi. Thank you for the answer. Yes, I can see the Customs Fields section but the custom field that I need doesn’t show up. I always have to export the orders to be able to tell. The custom field is called billing_school but I can’t see on the Order Details page.

Any idea how to solve this?

    Thanks

Could you please verify whether the option “Display in Order Detail Pages” is enabled for the field billing_school.

    Hi there,

After last updates (to Woocommerce 3.5.1 and Checkout Field Editor for WooCommerce 1.3.0) I’m experiencing same problem. Created custom checkout fields disappeared from order details page and also invoice. Before update everything was just fine.

Custome Fields are enabled. Option “Display in Order Detail Pages” for those fields also is enabled.
It seems to me that these fields are not saved at all during checkout because in my automatically generated invoice I try to retrieve info with code “$this->custom_field(‘my_custom_field_name’)” and get nothing.

Please check this issue and come up with some advice.

Thank you in advance for support ; )

@kiru4aa Could you please verify the below details:

    1) The custom fields will be displayed in the section Custom Fields in the order details page. Could you please verify whether the option Custom Fields is ticked in the Screen Options in the order details page.

    2) It is also been reported that while using the plugin Advanced Custom Fields, it is hiding the display of the custom fields on the order detail page for better performance.

    Hope this will help ??
