• From the admin login I cannot see the text the reviewer entered in the review box. Under the box it will have the number of words in the review, but there is nothing there. We read over all of our reviews (mostly to catch any profanity) before approving them for the website, but I can’t see what they wrote to approve them. It was working fine.

  • Tough to help here without more info. Did you check both Visual and Text? Are you using any admin styling plugins at all? If so, disable them and see if the issue still exists. Also, try changing the admin color scheme for your user back to default. I’m unable to think of any other ideas.

Both the Visual and the Text are empty (or appear empty). I’m using the admin default color scheme. I set up a new (private) page to do some tests. I created a review, then approved it (even though I couldn’t see the text I had entered). I went back to the public side of the page and it indicates there has been 1 review and shows the correct number of stars, but there is nothing else – no subject or body.

Unfortunately I inherited this website and I’ve only worked with WP a few times. I’m not sure about admin styling plugins. It doesn’t appear so. Are there a few popular ones that I can check for? Thanks for your help.

Here’s a link to the test page where you can see no text was posted after the review was approved, only stars. the password for the page is “test4wpreviews”

I’m having the same issue. It just started the last two reviews. I hadn’t changed any settings.

I am having the same problem on a clients site

So I tried holding down my left mouse button and moving it throughout the box where the submitted review should appear in an attempt to highlight anything that could possibly be in the review box that I was unable to see (like white text). Nothing happened on the Visual tab, but on the Text tab, the words submitted by the reviewer actually showed up once highlighted. There weren’t any html tags, which seemed odd, but ‘VisualText’ was at the end of the submitted review.

Seems like there is probably a simple fix, but at this point I have to start looking around for an alternative.
