    Hello @clemleb,

This issue might be occurring due to a plugin conflict. So please deactivate all plugins and check if it resolves your issue and after that try activating the plugins one by one to find problematic plugins. Then replace it with an alternate plugin.

To do it safely without losing any of your work, please take the following steps:

Install and activate the Health Check plugin.
    Enable the TroubleShoot mode.
Enable the Menu Icon plugin and open the page.

Does it resolve the issue? If yes, then there is some plugin conflict or configuration error that you can check by enabling theme/plugins one by one in the troubleshooting mode.
If not, post us back by keeping the Health Check plugin active. We will also need admin access to troubleshoot further.
aHealth Check allows troubleshooting without losing the current setup. The changes are done only temporarily until you turn off the troubleshoot mode. However, it is recommended to keep a backup.

You might want to back your website up before doing this; if you don’t already have a backup plugin, then you can use this one: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/updraftplus/.

Since it’s a new plugin, it most likely won’t cause any additional issues.

Let us know if this solved your issue.

    Hello Mat,

    Thank you for your reply.

I have installed Healtch Check but I have an error:

You don’t have any of the default themes installed. A default theme helps you determine if your current theme is causing conflicts.

However I have the theme Hotel master activated. I tried to install a standard theme instead but I still see this error. I have the feeling that with this error, Health Check won’t be able to tell me more about my Menu Icon issue.

    Thanks a lot!

    Hello @clemleb,

The message you are receiving is just a warning but it doesn’t affect the proper functioning of the plugin. My theory is that the icons cannot be placed due to a conflict within your environment. If you disable all plugins but the Menu Icon plugin and the situation doesn’t change, it might come from the theme.

I would advise installing a default WP theme like TwentyTwentyOne in this case and see if that fixes the issue.

Thank you and please let us know how it went!

    Thanks Mat,

I have deactivated all the plugins,
    Changed my theme to twenty-two,
Rollback to a 4 previous versions of Menu Icon.
    I could finally select icons.
I put back my theme (and I cannot change icons anymore)
But everything is working perfectly now.

    Thanks a lot!
