Can't see toolbar in new post

  • When entering a new post in visual mode, I can not see the toolbar that allows me to choose bold, italics, enter links, etc. I can see the HTML toolbar when I am in that view. How do I get it back?

    If it used to work ok, then have you installed or updated any plugins or themes lately that might have broken it?

    Not sure what would have broken it. Is there anything I can do to re-install it?

    I would first disable all your plugins just to make sure it’s not being caused by one of them.

    Next, try switching to one of the standard WordPress themes, such as TwentyTwelve and see if the problem persists.

    If you’ve ruled out the theme and the plugins, then I would go ahead and copy a fresh install of the WordPress files in the wp-admin folder.
