    Hey all,

    I’m currently in the process of creating an intranet page using wordpress and would like to have emails sent to all staff (WE already have the email address setup for this).

    The issue I’m having is that I have 3 categories for each of the members of staff people will need to keep updated with.

    I have added myself as the only subscriber / admin and added my personal (gmail) address as a public subscriber but I’m not getting any emails from any of my posts. SMTP is working as I have other features that send emails without any problems and I can sent ‘test’ emails via the plugins “test” feature.

    Any Ideas? Any help would be more than welcome.

  • I’m having a similar issue with a similar setup.

    I have an Ubuntu server running WordPress behind a firewall. The blog itself is able to send me emails (like Auto updates, new users, etc), but Subscribe2 will not send anything to me. I even tried using an SMTP plugin to change to sending through GMail, but that didn’t work either (I could get test mails, but not Subscribe2 mails).

    @bracken752 / qurgh,

    I’d suggest you both install an email logging plugin like this one:
    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/email-log/

    It will confirm if Subscribe2 is generating emails.

    You’re indeed right, it seems the emails are being sent (according to email log) but my rather “nazi” like parent company is trying to make my life a pain. Thank you for pointing out something I should have already tried Matty.

    Hmm, after further testing, it looks like the Subscribe2 > Settings > Templates > Send Email Preview works fine, but when it comes to send the email via the post it doesn’t work.

    I can see it popping into the logs but I highly doubt that if a block was in place it would allow the the “Email Preview” emails through and not the post notification emails?

    Any Ideas?

    @bracken752,

    The Preview email usually sends fine because the sender and recipient address are the same (not many people spam themselves) but live emails are to other recipients so are restricted. Ask your hosting provider what limits they impose and ask how you can work with them to ensure you remain within the limits.
