I have the plugin setup to give free shipping in the contiguous United States but it keeps giving it out to orders in Hawaii too and I can’t figure out how to fix it. Does anyone know how to correct this?

    Hello @jeffsbesthemp,

Could you attach screenshots of your shipping zones and WBS rules?

    Hello,

Here’s a dropbox capture walkthrough of each zone and parameters. https://capture.dropbox.com/E0UBkSq8zjreB2rC

Thank you for checking this with me. I’m just trying to make sure we aren’t offering free shipping to Hawaii, Alaska, or Puerto Rico, but especially Hawaii, and even though I thought I had it setup to do that, we had another order sneak through trying to get free shipping on an order to Hawaii, so something unfortunately still isn’t setup right. Thank you for reviewing this to try and help. ??

    Thank you.

WooCommerce stops at the first matching shipping zone. Hawaii is the US, so the first matching zone is “USPS Priority Rate-contiguous United States”.

This way, your Hawaii shipping zone will never be activated. You can find more details on WooCommerce shipping zones in the documentation.

To fix it, specify all the states except Hawaii for your first shipping zone.

You can also safely remove the “Weight Based Shipping” shipping method from your first shipping zone since the method is empty and thus does nothing.

    Hello,

Thank you for the input. The only problem is that I don’t see an area that allows me to enter the states, state by state. Where do I do that?

There is a video in shipping zones documentation article. It shows how to add California to a shipping zone. Other states can be added similarly. If you have more questions regarding the core WooCommerce functions, please reach the WooCommerce support area.

How to add California? I’m not sure I follow. Do you mean Hawaii?

Is it really that hard to just give me a direct answer about my specific question? In the time it took to refer me, you could have just answered and provided me the help I needed. Maybe we’re just better off with a plugin that works.
