Can’t seem to update css/ padding

I have this widget installed but the text boxes and labels are extended all the way to the very edge of the widget area, whereas they should be padded a bit.

I’ve logged into the css file and have attempted to update the margin and padding on the P div, as well as changed the margin and width of the input/textarea/select div. Nothing is updating!

Am I missing something or is there somewhere else these settings are changed?
