I’ve had my admins install and configure Opcache for PHP 7.4 yet none of the Opcode options are available as caching methods in any of the dropdowns in the general settings panel of W3TC.

The valid timestamps checkbox is also not available.

Can you shed some light on why this might be happening?

    Thanks.

Furthermore, I have several file names that have changed. Something like…

    https://ezespain.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/logo-ezespain.png

    Has changed to…

    https://ezespain.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/xlogo-ezespain.png.pagespeed.ic.4RWcmYEiT3.webp

And now won’t load on Chrome, Opera, Edge. Works in Firefox though.

There’s a list of files, the favicon, the main logo and few others are all 404. I replaced some images, deleting some from the media library, and the old ones are still being called.

Even though I disabled W3 Total Cache and deleted it, these names persist and are a cause of serious pain.

    Hello @fatbat

Thank you for your inquiry and I am happy to assist you with this.
As for your file names and images, this is not related to W3 Total Cache. W3TC does not optimize images or changing the names. So the plugin you are using to convert the images to webp is the cause of that.
As for the Opcode options, The opcode cache dropdown is not selectable. It’s always read-only. If Zend is not available it means that it’s not enabled – W3 Total Cach can not detect it.
So if the module is installed you possibly need to restart your server so W3 Total Cache can detect it.
    Thanks!

OK, disregard the images part, it’s coming from mod_pagespeed.

However, you’re misunderstanding what I am saying regarding the availability of Opcode in the dropdowns. Yes, Opcache is enabled on the server. Zend is enabled in the main Opcode Cache dropdown (but the Valid timestamps checkbox isn’t! Why?).

What I am talking about though are all the other dropdowns in all the other setting areas that have as options Shared: Disk, Disk:Enhanced – for Dedicated: 4 Opcode options – For Multi server: Memcached and others.

None of these Opcode options are available. Only Disk, Disk:Enhanced and Memcached. Why is that?

    Hello @fatbat

Thank you for the information. Sorry about the confusion as you mentioned Opcode in the title and Opcache in your message.
Disk Enhanced is available by default. As for the other modules, you need to install a PHP module in order for the W3TC to be able to detect it. As you already stated Memcached is available and this means that you’ve installed the Memcached PHP extension, and this should be done for all other modules.
    Thanks!

Where do you find these modules? I do not see any other modules available other than the one we’ve enabled for Opcache.

    Hello @fatbat

You should check with your host and install the module for example APCu.
    Thanks!
