For Custom Post Types make sure the show_in_rest parameter is set to true for both – custom post type and custom taxonomies.

You can also modify the Query Arguments of post block using the filter/action hooks – https://ultimategutenberg.com/docs/filters-actions-for-post/

@swetakumari Thanks. Unfortunately, the show_in_rest parameter seems to have absolutely no effect.

@swetakumari I found the bug in the source code. The plugin assumes that each post type has a category taxonomy and sets category as the taxonomy selected by default. Then, frontend shows that the first taxonomy in the list is selected even if the selected option is still the non-existent category. You can work around this bug if there is more then one taxonomy available by switching from taxonomy A to taxonomy B and then going back to taxonomy A. I could make a workaround in the plugin React code, but I think that PHP code is where the fix should be applied, but I don?t really know PHP.
