    Hi folks,

    if I want to insert a gallery into a new post, I can not select any existing gallery. The entry does not occur. If I select to insert an album I can choose one, but I organized my photos only in single galleries. Until the new editor of word press I used always the shortlink [gallery=***] in my blog entries. But with the new Gutenberg editor it would be more conviently to use the nextgen gallery assistant. But there I cant choose any gallery…

    Hi @ns1045,

    Let’s first check the server settings to make sure you have everything up to date. Reach out to your hosting provider and confirm they have the https://www.imagely.com/docs/requirements/ settings in place.

    With those in place, everything should work smoothly for you. If the issue still shows up, let’s check to see if there is a plugin conflict happening. Temporarily deactivate all plugins, then reactivate NextGEN Gallery only. Does the issue still appear? If so, temporarily switch to a WordPress default theme (this deactivation is only intended to quickly check to see if the issue goes away or is still present). If by deactivating the other plugins the issue does go away, reactivate each of the other plugins one at a time to locate the culprit. Keep me posted on your results ??

    Hi Mihai,

    thnx for reply. I’m a software developer and checked your points already. My wordpress/webserver runs on my NAS has the freshest updates of php7 running. Plugins and default theme were already checked as well.

    Please, try to remove and re-install NextGen Gallery and check again.
    Another option we can try is to reset NextGen Gallery settings.

    1.- Clear or deactivate any plugin cache you have installed (I know you have done that before, but It’s part of the troubleshooting steps).
    2.- Go to Gallery > Other options > Miscellaneous > and click on “Clear image cache”.
    3.- Go to Gallery > Other options > Reset options > and use the option “Reset all options”.
    4.- Check if the problem persists.
