Can’t Set List – Don’t Want “Subscribe” Checkbox

    I installed the plugin to take advantage of some of the automation sequences but am having two issues:

    1. First, I thought the “List” it was syncing to was a customer list not a newsletter list so I chose the wrong one. Once I realized it I deleted the plugin, reinstalled, and have been trying to set it to my actual newsletter list without success. Every time I choose the list and Save Changes it reverts back to “– Select List –“.

    2. I really don’t want the “Subscribe to our newsletter” checkbox on the checkout. I have other places on the site they can join. Is there a way to remove this without having to tweak the plugin or theme?

    Thanks for the post! I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble getting the plugin up and running, and I’m happy to help out as much as possible. Let me go ahead and get some details from you in order to take a closer look.

    1) Did you fully delete the plugin previously? The plugin typically encounters issues like the one noted above when the plugin is only disabled rather than fully deleted. If it was not totally deleted previously, could you please first deactivate the plugin and then totally delete it and re-attempt installation?

    That should resolve the issue, however in the event that it does not, please reply back here with the following details:

    1) If you re-attempt the plugin installation in an alternate browser, is it successful? (This would help us rule out some browser and plugin/extension conflicts)

    2) What were the steps that were taken when attempting to reinstall the plugin?

    3) What theme is currently installed?

    4) What plugins are active on your WordPress site?

    5) What version of PHP is your site using?

    Thanks! In the meantime, I also see that you’d like the ability to hide the “Subscribe to our Newsletter” checkbox. At this time there is not a setting that would allow this, but another user reported that they were able to hide the option with a code tweak, as detailed here, if you’d like to try that out: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/disable-checkout-opt-in/

    That being said, we are actively tracking feedback about the plugin and I’ve gone ahead and passed this case along for review. So, thank you for that.
