    Hello!
I have a website with the home settings as in the screenshot https://i.vgy.me/LlPlg3.jpg , Your homepage displays – “Your latest posts”.

But the Yoast settings don’t show the fields for editing the meta https://i.vgy.me/ebd84d.jpg , only a prompt to go to the home page itself for editing…
But your manual should display the fields according to my settings.
    What am I doing wrong?)

    Hello @xboltik

Thanks for using the Yoast SEO plugin. When your homepage displays your latest posts, you should be able to edit your homepage’s SEO title and meta description in Yoast SEO > Settings > Homepage.

I’m sorry this isn’t the case. Can you switch to a default WordPress theme, such as Twenty Twenty-Three, and try again?

Do let us know how it goes.

Yes, I did that: turned off all plugins (except yoast) and switched to Twenty Twenty-Three. But that didn’t help.

I’ve now found out experimentally what’s causing it. The reason was the plugin “LightStart – Maintenance Mode, Coming Soon and Landing Page Builder“, when it enabled “Maintenance Mode”, the fields were not displayed in Yoast. Even when “Maintenance Mode” was switched off, the fields (for home page) were not displayed until you resaved the reading settings in WordPress.

    So, my solution was:
    1) Turn off the LightStart – Maintenance Mode plugin (or Maintenance Mode in it),
    2) Resave WordPress settings (it helped me to save the reading settings page)
    3) Done, these fields will appear in Yoast
