    Hi,

Thanks for this plugin. I just installed it and so far it works good.

In the installation tab of your plugin page, you instruct us to:
“Define how ‘new’ products must be (in days) to receive the ‘new’ badge on the catalog tab of the WooCommerce settings screen.” in step 3.

The thing is the catalog tab does not exist anymore in the Woocommerce version 2.2.8. So the “new” sticker works without a set period of days. In other words, the “new” sticker is pointless in this matter.

So I was wondering if there were another way to set it up.

Also, could it be possible to set the “new” sticker through a product category “New” instead of number of days?

    Thanks for your help

    Hello chicagola,

Thanks for pointing this. Yes its true that WOO Commerce has removed the tab from where we can set number of days to consider for new Product.

But we have added that feature in our plugin, so you can define number of days from there itself without going into WOO Commerce.

Also could you please elaborate on other way to consider product as new?

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks

    Hello WeblineIndia,

Thank you for responding and adding the number of days setting so quick.

Here is what I was trying to suggest:

Sometimes when we enter a new product in woocommerce, the product is not necessarily new. The “new” sticker will be showing up on the product image, even though we don’t want to, since it’s relying on the date the product was entered.

I was thinking that we could apply a product category to the product like “New” or “New Product” or “New Arrival” in woocommerce. Instead of calling the “new” sticker from the date, maybe the plugin could call it from the product category.

Of course, the number of days setting should remain. Maybe we could choose to set the “new” sticker either by number of days or by product category. Maybe when we set our “new” sticker by product category, a dropdown of the product categories list would work.

I hope my suggestion is clear enough.

What do you think? Is this possible?

Again, thank you for prompt response.

    Hello chicagola,

We are glad that you liked out support.

Now for your suggestion, we will check various things on this and will implement if we decide to go with that. We can not guarantee any timeline on when it will be delivered.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks
