    Hello,

First of all, this is an amazing plugin and relly love it. Second I’ve small issues related to the Arabic language, the website I’m developing is completely in Arabic and everything is working without any problem on the other pages not related to PMPro, when I want to add a level, description, messages or anything related to Paid Memberships Pro in Arabic it becomes like “???????” or question mark (in back-end and front-end).

    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi @ahmed-na,

Thank you for using Paid Memberships Pro and for the kind words, I am glad you are enjoying the plugin! ??

I’m really sorry for the issue you are facing.

I am going to be going through the source code with some of our developers as I have a feeling that we may be escaping characters of a certain data type. We had an issue with Russian language like this before.

As a temporary solution, which should work, would be to set your membership levels in English and then I will help you write a gettext filter to add to your site to convert it to Arabic. This may work, would you mind sending through an Arabic string that I may use for a level name you would like to use?

Thank you for your patience regarding this. I apologize for the late reply.

    Hi @andrewza

Many thanks for your great plugin.
Today i tried to install Paid Memberships Pro and faced the same issue with Persian language. I was wondering if you could help to resolve the problem?

    Thanks

    Hi @fardina,

Thank you for using Paid Memberships Pro.

Inside your WordPress dashboard, please can you set the encoding for membership level names, which is stored in the _pmpro_membership_levels table, to UTF-8.

This will solve your problem, if you need assistance with this please feel free to open a support thread on https://www.paidmembershipspro.com

I solved the problem by changing the collation of the table to utf8_general_ci.
