    Hi,

This plugin looks like it’s exactly what I need, thanks for creating it. But I’m having a problem setting it up.

I’ve set up my app at https://dev.twitter.com/apps and copied my Consumer key and Consumer secret into the plugin settings page. But now it gives the following error:

    Error: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <hash> <request>/oauth/request_token</request> <error>Desktop applications only support the oauth_callback value 'oob'</error> </hash>

Any thoughts on how to proceed?

    Cheers,

    David

Ah, sorry about that! I was only looking on the “Details” tab in the Twitter Dev page. I didn’t realise that the “OAuth” tab contained the “Access token” and “Access token secret” details.

Could I suggest making the installation instructions a little clearer. TO me, they say: enter the Consumer key and Consumer secret, click the button and then follow the instructions — which implies that the other two fields should somehow be filled in later.

I’m sure my instructions could be clearer. However, if you click connect and authenticate via Twitter the other two fields should be populated automatically when you’re redirected back to the admin page.

By the look of your bug the redirect/callback didn’t work properly. There may be a bug there, but it might be quite specific to your setup. As you’ve entered the tokens by hand you’ve worked around it anyway.
