Can’t specify category for Events import?

In your second screenshot what you have set is a default venue and not a default category, that is why you don’t see it as a category.

How are you importing events? Maybe I can help you figure out how to make that category work.

Please also note that we are not at version 5.10.1 yet. Our latest version is 5.2.1

I see, so I seem to have no way to make these imported items select a (default) category then?

Any way to select one? I mean its useless to import if I have to go through 1000 events now and select a category for each one manually.

When you are doing the import and mapping the columns, there is an “Event Category” option in the dropdown. If you have a column in your CSV file for categories, then match these two up and it should work.

Also, there is another category dropdown below the list where you are matching up the columns. If you select a category here that will be added to all the events imported at that time.
