• I’ve backup using this plugin on this site previously.

    Now I’m getting: “You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ‘ NULL, , 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0)’ at line 1. Last query: INSERT INTO wrd_wponlinebackup_activity_log (start, end, type, comp, media, compressed, encrypted, errors, warnings, bsize, bcount, rsize, rcount) VALUES (, NULL, , 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0)”

    Any help would be appreciateed

    Thanks. Do you know how many tables your wordpress database contains? If you can access it via phpMyAdmin you should be able to find out. I think this issue could happen if you have many many tables.

    Looks like 231 tables.

    Also, this didn’t occur to me before, but could maybe somehow be related..? In February I installed a separate WP network on my server, in a separate directory, obviously. Which is why I didn’t bring it up before, but I do think that the backups worked before that–might just be a coincidence?

    Yeh it could just be coincidence. I think the issue is the number of tables is making it use too much memory. I’m working on a fix at the moment that will compress the information.

    A workaround might be to go into General Settings and if there is option to exclude some tables you don’t need, do so. But if they are all WordPress core tables it won’t let you.

    Hopefully be able to finish the fix this week and get it tested for you this weekend.

    Hey, thanks for this plugin. But I wanted to know if there were any updates with this issue as I’m having the same error message appear as eef-ink after installing the most recent beta version you provided (the same problem occurred with the previous install as well). I’ve always had multi-site. Files still back up fine.

    Not sure if this matters or not, but I’m using a security plugin that encrypts the database with a prefix as a security measure. Eef-ink didn’t mention she was using this so it may not be the root of the issue, but I’ve found more often than not most problems arise from plugin to plugin conflicts and particularly features with security plugins.

    Hey Jason, thanks for your response.

    I just completed my first backup with the one you provided. I noticed that the location of the plugin isn’t in the Network Admin anymore, but rather in the individual site’s Tool tabs. Does it still back up the network, or do I have to activate the plugin individually for every site I own? Thanks again.

    Hi bg01,

    It’s because the other version you had was made for multisite with full multisite compatibility. This version isn’t and may experience the odd backup failure – it’ll also not show the multisite tables correctly on general settings. Apart from that everything should be fine.

    It will backup the entire network as before. Just be sure to network activate it. All individual sites will likely be able to use the plugin too.

    We’re merging the multisite stuff together with the one I just gave you as we prepare for next plugin update. So next update will support both all the fixes and the multisite stuff.
