Can’t start live WP website on Wamp

can you get to the WAMP start page @ localhost?

How did you move site from live to local? Does the method you used update the urls in the DB for you? I use Akeeba BackupWP and Kickstart.php also from Akeeba Backup to move sites from one host to another or from local to live and vice versa…

If your backup/migration method does no change the DB urls, you will need to run a search/replace tool to do it for you.

I’ve received all of the website files, including database. Imported database inside phpMyAdmin successfully, changed wp_options urls to point to localhost/website/ instead of https://www.website.com. Database is properly connected since I’ve had some errors and had to delete a folder from wp-content/plugins/ and then I had this 302 error.

Again, were the links in the DB changed to reflect new urls? You will need to run a search/replace tool to change the urls in the database.

– export to file

Local:
– import from file
– log out, log in
– save permalinks twice
– done ??

AIOWPM looks after updating all the URLs in the process.

Thank you all, I managed to start the website live by changing the url’s, they were pointing to another folder.
