I noticed that the automatic scans stopped working for one of our websites.
I also can’t start any scans manually.

I tried the “Start all scans remotely” option under the debugging tab, but that didn’t help.

We do not use Cloudflare and performing scans on our other websites that are on the same server work fine.

Diagnostics -> Connectivity shows the following:

“Connecting back to this site shows an Error:

X wp_remote_post() test back to this server failed! Response was:
    403 Forbidden

    More details:

Hi @sebriley, thanks for the detailed message.

This looks similar to a couple of recent support cases we’ve seen with sites on WP Engine and Cloudflare – although obviously I accept that you’ve stated Cloudflare isn’t a factor for you.

I would ensure our IPs and your own site’s IP are not blocked anywhere on your site/server (including Wordfence > Blocking itself): https://www.wordfence.com/help/advanced/#servers-and-ip-range

Then, please drop us a diagnostic report just so we can check for possible configuration issues, or elements that might need extra attention. Send it to wftest @ wordfence . com directly from the link at the top of the Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics page. Then click on “Send Report by Email”. Please add your forum username where indicated and respond here after you have sent it.

NOTE: It should look as follows – Screenshot of Tools > Diagnostic > Send by Email

    Thanks,
    Peter.
