    Hi to all.
I can’t switch from visual editor to txt/html editor. The button ”text” is there but when I click on it – nothing happens. Will appreciate any suggestions.

Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fifteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

I am having the same issues and have tried all of the above suggestions and a few more. Then I found this on Codex: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Using_Your_Browser_to_Diagnose_JavaScript_Errors

Step 2: Enable SCRIPT_DEBUG – if this fixes the problem then they advise to disable it and post the result on the support forum, which I have done in a new thread. Still waiting for an answer.

    Hi Sammy2 and James

Thank you very much for your replies.

I had a few more issues on that site, not just with editor so in the end I contacted hosting company, as whatever I tried didn’t work (disabling plugins etc.) and they told me that: “We experienced a DDos attack against our servers IP address, and have placed the server under DDos protection to protect our customers. This is why it is giving that error.”

Today when I logged in everything worked as it should. So I will mark this post as resolved.

I hope you Sammy2 will get your issue resolved soon as well.
